'From now on it's a tradition'
The Fête fransaskoise moved to Saint Victor in 1984. From that point, it became a travelling festival, which strengthened its community spirit. Every year an organizing committee was set up in the host community, giving the festival its special character. For example, Métis culture was featured at the festival in Batoche, while the one in Prud'homme was tied to the 75th anniversary of the parish. The continued participation of the CCF kept the spirit of the event alive and made it possible to operate on an ever bigger scale. The association received a substantial contribution for the festival from 1988 to 1996. Those were the prosperous years. With time, the festival became an indispensable gathering and Fransaskois planned to attend well ahead of time.
