The Festival's Memory

The CCF embodied the corporate memory of the festival, which made it possible to build traditions in the programming. For example, themes were linked to the festival early in its history. Musical shows provided an opportunity for the Fransaskois to discover Francophone artists from home and from farther away, especially from Quebec. Festival goers were invited to take part in sports competitions that helped create a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Solid partnerships with various Francophone organizations made it possible to have activities return annually and brought together all age groups, like the Youth Festival and the Seniors' Follies.
